Ebola - Kongo - the black heart of Afrika

English Edition

In a hospital deep in the jungle on the banks of the Ebola, a tributary of the Congo, three people who could hardly be more different cross paths. Lars Petersen wants to buy illegally mined diamonds. Dr Eduard Dupré came to the Congo many years ago as a missionary and doctor. Now he is simply a doctor; he lost his faith long ago. And then there is his far too young wife, Zola, who, despite her African first name, was born in Belgium. Eduard Dupré has to contend not only with tropical diseases, but also with failed deliveries from aid organisations and adulterated, long-expired medicines. Added to the bitter realisation that he cannot help many of his patients are marauding government troops, rebels and slave hunters from Sudan. Then the Ebola epidemic breaks out once again.
